Senior Broadband Consultant
1099 Independent Contractor | Senior Advisory Role | Project-Based
The Shoe Fits is seeking experienced broadband and fiber infrastructure consultants to support client engagements involving broadband strategy, network planning, market evaluation, deployment planning, cost analysis, RFP/RFI support, due diligence, and stakeholder coordination.
This is a senior-level 1099 consulting opportunity for professionals with deep experience in broadband, telecom, fiber networks, ISP operations, infrastructure expansion, or related advisory work.

Broadband market strategy and infrastructure expansion planning
Fiber availability review and network opportunity assessment
ISP, municipal broadband, utility, developer, and investor advisory support
OSP and fiber network planning support
Route, topology, backbone, distribution, hut, and site planning review
RFP/RFI support, vendor evaluation, and commercial strategy input
Cost modeling, unit-cost review, budget validation, and capital planning support
Broadband due diligence for acquisitions, partnerships, grants, or investment opportunities
Stakeholder coordination with utilities, municipalities, developers, vendors, and infrastructure partners
Executive-level reporting, recommendations, and decision support

Senior experience in broadband, telecom, fiber, ISP, utility, construction, engineering, or digital infrastructure
Strong understanding of fiber networks, OSP deployment, market strategy, and infrastructure economics
Ability to translate technical and operational details into clear business recommendations
Experience supporting executives, investors, municipalities, developers, or infrastructure owners
Strong written communication and client-facing professionalism
Ability to work independently on project-based consulting assignments

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Work may be structured by hourly rate, project scope, retainer, milestone, or not-to-exceed agreement depending on the client engagement.
PMO & Project Manager Consultant
1099 Independent Contractor | Project-Based | Broadband, Fiber & Infrastructure Programs
The Shoe Fits is also building a bench of experienced PMO leaders, project managers, and project controls professionals to support broadband, fiber, telecom, and infrastructure deployment programs.
These consultants may support client projects involving planning, scheduling, budget tracking, vendor coordination, reporting, deployment readiness, risk management, and execution oversight.

PMO setup, operating cadence, governance, and reporting structure
Project management for broadband, fiber, OSP, FTTH, middle-mile, long-haul, or infrastructure programs
Schedule development, milestone tracking, and dependency management
Budget tracking, cost controls, invoice review, and change management support
Risk, issue, action item, and decision tracking
Vendor, contractor, engineering, permitting, utility, and stakeholder coordination
Executive reporting, dashboard development, and project status communication
Construction readiness, deployment sequencing, and field coordination support
Documentation management, meeting cadence, and process improvement
Support for startups, ISPs, developers, municipalities, utilities, investors, and infrastructure owners

Experience managing telecom, broadband, fiber, utility, construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects
Familiarity with OSP, FTTH, middle-mile, long-haul, data center connectivity, or related deployment environments
Strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills
Ability to manage schedules, budgets, vendors, risks, issues, and executive-level updates
Experience working with cross-functional teams, contractors, municipalities, utilities, and stakeholders
PMO, PMP, project controls, construction management, or telecom deployment experience is preferred

This is a 1099 independent contractor opportunity. Engagements may vary by client need and may be structured as part-time, project-based, hourly, retainer-based, or milestone-based work.
